Dog Training Classes

Introducing: Tim Resler: TTAH trainer

Tim joined the TTAH team as a dog trainer in September of 2024.
Tim brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role. Tim has a BA in Liberal Arts, a Graduate Certificate in Contracts & Procurement, and Navy Master Training Specialist Certification. He has spent many years training his personal dogs as well as helping friends with their dogs. He has studied dog training for years and has recently completed his studies with Animal Behavior College.  and he is working on his Certified Professional Dog Trainer Certification.
Passionate about various interests such as spending time with his grandchildren, camping, bike riding, and music, Tim finds joy in both is work and personal life.
One of his favorite memories at Tidewater Trail involves his Labrador retriever, Jason, who can't stop "wiggling and jiggling" long enough to get his weight taken.
Tim loves working with dogs and their humans.
His outgoing personality helps owners learn to love working with their dogs to facilitate better communication and a deeper bond.
Tim and Dr. Andi will be working together this summer to offer obedience classes, puppy preschool and private training sessions.

PUPPY PRESCHOOL:

Tuesdays 6-7PM, 4 weekly sessions, $100 for all four
Puppy preschool is a perfect way to spend fun and valuable time with your puppy. I will help you learn how to socialize your puppy to a variety of different people, places, things and, of course, other puppies.
Why is puppy preschool important?
Proper socialization and training is critical for your relationship with your dog, and the best time to start is when your dog is a puppy. The peak socialization period for dogs is up to 14 weeks, if you have not worked with your puppy before this time, they a much more likely to develop fearful responses to new people, places and other dogs. The majority of dogs surrendered to shelters are between 5 months and 3 years, and most of those dogs are surrendered because of behavioral problems. Puppy preschool is the perfect place to start working with your puppy and to discuss concerning behaviors as they are developing, rather than waiting until you have a real problem.
Here's what the AKC has to say about the importance of puppy preschool:
