"My favorite thing about being a veterinarian is that there is always something new to learn. Animal behavior is one of my specific interests. Every patient is different, and I enjoy figuring out the root of the problem and working with pet and owner to change it." When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with Dr. Greg (G.L.) and our two kids as well as horseback riding. |

Coming in June, Raegan Hughes...
Raegan’s drive to become a veterinarian has always centered around her amazement of the human-animal bond, and she is so excited to help strengthen that bond as a member of the Tidewater Trail team! She grew up mostly in North Carolina and West Virginia but spent a few of her college summers in Spotsy with her family. Raegan is a proud graduate of West Virginia University and an upcoming graduate of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Her veterinary interests include behavior, dentistry, and endocrinology, and she is certified as both a Fear Free Veterinary Professional and a Cat Friendly Veterinarian. Outside of work, she enjoys crocheting, songwriting, and cuddling with her toothless cat, Bonnie.
