Thank you, Kat
Kat Parry has only been with us for a short time, but we have benefited so much from her passion for caring for dogs and her desire to learn and expand her knowledge of the veterinary industry. Kat has a strong background in dog training, but had never worked in a daycare situation or for an animal hospital previously. She quickly took her knowledge of canine behavior and training and applied it to make our daycare a fun and safe place. She took her inherent creativity and photography skills and used them to come up with fun ideas and beautiful images for our daycare. Her organizational skills helped keep our daycare running smoothly and efficiently.
Sadly for us, Kat's husband is being stationed in Wyoming, so August 16th will be her last day. Fortunately, she has been working to prepare our new daycare managers: Stormie Chinowth and Heather Jaloway. Heather has been working as a client service representative for TTAH since 2021. She has become increasingly involved in daycare over the past two years. Her creativity, love of animals and knack for social media will be a real asset to our daycare services. Stormie was hired as a daycare assistant in April of this year. With previous management experience in doggie daycare, she has very quickly become an indispensable part of daycare at TTAH. Working closely with Kat, she has learned the way our daycare works and has already developed a strong relationship with all the dogs in daycare. Her understanding of dog behavior, organizational skills, creativity and dedication to dogs will ensure that your dog will have a fun and safe experience in daycare. Both Heather and Stormie will be enrolled in a comprehensive dog training course so that can continue to offer an increasing number of training options for your dogs. Dr. Andi will continue to hold puppy preschool as well as some individual training sessions. The daycare difference at

(Call ahead if you are interested in puppy playtime) Doggie daycare, like taking your dog to the dog park can be problematic. It would be nice to think that your dog is going to have a great experience, run and play all day with other dogs and come home and sleep. That is why most people bring their dogs to daycare. However, the truth is that every dog is a little different, dogs can get over-aroused, play too rough, and often fight. Some dogs may get frightened and are unable to get away. Some daycare facilities may try to match dogs of similar temperaments, but that has little effect on the level of safety your dog experiences. Tidewater Trail works very hard to screen dogs to ensure they will benefit from the daycare experience, and we work hard everyday to foster excellent relationships among all the dogs. Your dog may not love all the other dogs in daycare, but they can learn to interact respectfully with them. We are here to help you and your dog have the best daycare experience possible.
