Stormie and Heather

Stormie and Heather are our daycare supervisors. They are enthusiastic about caring for your pups during the day and have lots of great ideas to make the daycare experience fun, safe and fulfilling.

Doggie daycare, like taking your dog to the dog park can be problematic. It would be nice to think that your dog is going to have a great experience, run and play all day with other dogs and come home and sleep. That is why most people bring their dogs to daycare. However, the truth is that every dog is a little different, dogs can get over-aroused, play too rough, and often fight. Some dogs may get frightened and are unable to get away. Some daycare facilities may try to match dogs of similar temperaments, but that has little effect on the level of safety your dog experiences. Tidewater Trail works very hard to screen dogs to ensure they will benefit from the daycare experience, and we work hard everyday to foster excellent relationships among all the dogs. Your dog may not love all the other dogs in daycare, but they can learn to interact respectfully with them. We are here to help you and your dog have the best daycare experience possible.

At Tidewater Trail, we are not interested in getting as many dogs as possible to participate in our daycare. Our focus is ensuring that your dog has a safe and fulfilling daycare experience. We know each dog as an individual and understand their strengths and where they might need a little work.
Our daycare staff is knowledgeable about dog behavior and body language.  So when your dog is in daycare, we not only ensure that your dog is playing appropriately with other dogs (and they are playing appropriately with your dog), but we reinforce manners and appropriate behavior throughout the day while your dog is here.
Our staff loves dogs. They understand dog handling and body language. Everyone on staff is here to ensure that you get a consistent experience regardless of the day. They help provide enriching activities to exercise your dog's brain as well as their body.
If you have a behavior concern or problem behaviors that crop up, our daycare staff may have a simple solution. If not, they work closely with Dr. Andi for more complicated behaviors.

We offer full or half-day daycare, and daycare while boarding or grooming.
